Once you find Goliad Texas you wont find a whole lot in it. Things can and do change though. In fact, twice a year the infamous Texas Mile event attracts hundreds of participants and spectators and nationally recognized media coverage to a tiny airstrip where cars line up for an extended weekend of top-speed challenges at the one-mile marker. Porsche performance tuner Evolution MotorSports attended the event, breaking the standing top speed record reaching 231.4 miles per hour on the straight. Other highlights included television coverage from SpeedTV, with motor sport television personality and professional drifter Tanner Foust (also pictured in the gallery).
